Judy Smart, RN BSN

Professional:
Judy began her nursing career in Labor and Delivery at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur, Illinois. She gained additional experience as a staff nurse managing a private OBGYN physicians’ group in Des Moines, Iowa before returning to St. Louis where she took on greater Labor and Delivery responsibilities at St. Luke’s Hospital. Judy’s professional journey then took her to Lincoln, Nebraska where she specialized in high-risk obstetrical care with Matria Healthcare. Judy’s passion for helping others led her to work with the sickest patients in the region. She later joined her longtime colleague Dr. George Ahlering at St. Louis Women’s Healthcare in Chesterfield, Missouri focusing on recurrent miscarriages and helping “high risk” women deliver healthy babies. As her patients began to age, so did their need for hormone replacement. Judy became an expert in hormone therapy and created Smart Age to expand her offerings beyond hormone replacement to include testosterone, vitamin deficiency, and many other care services that support one’s total health. Smart Age’s mission is to proactively help women and men maintain good health as they age.
Personal:
Judy grew up on her family’s farm in Herrick, Illinois, where she learned the importance of a strong work ethic. Judy was the first in her family to graduate college. Nursing attracted Judy from her early years. Though she has no children of her own, Judy has many patients that consider her family for the miracle of life she brought to those struggling to have families. Outside of work, Judy is the consummate “Go-Giver”, whether through financial assistance, emotional support, offering a helping hand, or simply giving gifts. The driving force behind Judy creating Smart Age was to help women and men feel their best and maintain good health along their entire life journey. Judy lives in St. Louis and travels to Naples, Florida most weekends with her life companion, John Gatewood.
Sandy
When it's time for a blood draw, Sandy is the one you want! She has been working in labs and drawing blood for 49 years! She has two loving children with many grandkids you will see on pictures. Sandy takes great pride in her work and excels at her job. Sandy's hours are Wednesdays and Thursdays 8am-4pm.
Christine Russell - Patient Care Coordinator
Professional:
Christine has over 30 years’ experience in Obgyn , working at Mercy Creve Coeur in Labor and Delivery for 9 years, then joining Judy at St Louis Women’s Healthcare focusing on infertility and recurrent miscarriage as well as triaging nurse calls and working along the physicians with procedures and surgical needs. Her knowledge in hormone replacement has grown in abundance while working with the specialists in her field.
Personal:
Christine grew up in the St Louis area and has always had a passion for womens health. She and her husband have 4 children and a growing number of grandchildren that they love spending their free time with.
